My virtual sketchbook from University
As an extension of our website, we decided to create a prototype of an app/ responsive website for smaller devices using Adobe XD. Initially, I created it to be similar to the website so the user could have a similar experience as shown below. But, soon realised the text was difficult to read so I worked on it again.
In improving the model I wanted to show an animation of text to allow the text to be larger. Since it’s not possible to add animation besides transitions between pages I had to work on each label over each disease overview on individual artboards.
In making the prototype, it was a very long and frustrating process. My partner had designed the outcome of our website illustrator however in putting it together I came across many problems which could have been dealt with from his side. Such as, spelling mistakes, grammatical mistakes, incorrect alignment of things, using a downloaded font, sending images in wrong formats. Nevertheless, I believe that Jan is a talented designer that I would work with again but communication would be improved. Anyhow, this gave me an insight into the difficulties programmers have when being given work by a designer. Nonetheless, I created the prototype as demonstrated in the video below however for the story I couldn’t add a video so I added a blank box to show where the video would have been placed.
