As our final piece, we decided to create an ESV – Emergency service visualizer. We created an App prototype that would notify deaf users on their phone if one of the three emergency services (police, ambulance and fire bridge) are nearby and display a visualizer of the colour of the vehicle plus it would come closer to you as the vehicle comes closer to you. This was inspired by the Doppler effect which is the change in frequency or wavelength or wave moving with respect to the observer. Rather than representing the waves as circles being pushed into another we created it using After effects where our waves were lines coming closer to you and depending on the sound pattern the lines would behave differently.
